Latino’s Activate JoCo, Inc. of Johnston County, is committed to ensuring equal opportunities

Classes of Membership
There are three primary classes of membership at Latino’s Activate JoCo, Inc.
Professional Membership:

Requirements:
● Membership Dues $75.00 annual
● Ticket Sales (for fundraising events or special projects)
● General Fundraising Placement
● Any Required Quota


Waived:
● Meeting Attendance
● Community Service Hours
● Professional members, once admitted, have comprehensive privileges except for voting
rights and holding office.


General Membership:

Requirements
● Membership Dues $25.00 annual
● Ticket Sales (for fundraising events or special projects)
● Community Service Hours
● General Fundraising Placement
● Any Required Quota

Waived
● Meeting Attendance
● General members are recognized for their community services and are eligible for
leadership roles after the first year of membership.


Non-Resident Membership:

Requirements:
● Membership Dues $25.00 Annual
● Ticket Sales (for fundraising events or special projects)


Waived:
● Meeting Attendance
● Community Service Hours
● General Fundraising Placement
● Any Required Quota
● For members who relocate from Johnston County but wish to maintain their affiliation
with LAJOCO.


Admission to Membership
Eligibility: Individuals above 21 residing in the Latino’s Activate JoCo admission area are
eligible. All prospective members must agree to the LAJOCO requirements per the Constitution
and Bylaws.


Proposal: A membership candidate needs sponsorship from one General member and support
from two Co-sponsors. Detailed processes, from obtaining forms to interview conductance, are
outlined by the Admissions Committee.
Election to Membership: The Admissions Committee will evaluate and decide on the joining
invitation. Successful candidates will be formally invited, and their names announced during the
April meeting.


Leaves, Resignations, Reinstatements, and Expulsions


Leaves of Absence: Members can request different leaves based on specific circumstances, from
general one-year leaves to paternity/maternity or emergency leaves.
Resignations: Any resignation should be formally communicated in writing to the Secretary.
Reinstatement: Former members who resigned while in good standing can be considered for
reinstatement.


Expulsions: The Board of Directors can consider the expulsion of a member based on various
grounds, including non-cooperation, violation of By-Laws, or non-payment of dues.
